Harry Potter: Order of the Phoenix review

yesterday nite i went to watch Harry potter and OOTP... of all ppl it was jeremy that went with mi... why..? coz everyone seems to be busy...(with the exception that i msg a fren using the old number, tat's why the person can't make it... didn't update tat hp's contact... hehe... too bad)... almost asked everyone closed to mi, and those whom i think will like harry potter, if they wanna join mi... but end up most saying not going, busy, or watching with other frens...

reached JP at 6.20pm... had to wait for jeremy as he only reach abt 7.15pm... so did some walking... well.. with my usual pace.... i can easily finish window shopping the whole place in less than 30mins... but i have to slow down my steps... still... i covered the place with almost 20 mins left till jeremy reaches... sian... haha... things i wanna buy not available, so mainly juz browse ard a bit...

when jeremy reaches... we went to eat crystal jade and set off for the cinema..

the movie lasted 2hrs 15mins... it was a great show to sum it all.... too bad most of the time i wasn't at a more comfortable view a few rows back... coz its quite hard to have a good view of the full wide screen... but still ok... the fighting scene at the ministry was really cool... as always though... its a rather short scene juz like the movie that jumps from different periods in the book... but still i think the director does a great job in summarising the play...

so if u are a potter fan... u will not be too disappointed ba... coz it really different to watch as compared to reading the story...

really looking forward to the release of the last book: Deathly hallows...
*heard from my fren that the e-book is already out in the web... hmmm.....

Trip to KL - Day 3/ saturday soccer

Day 3

as usual... we woke early for our breakfast at 9am... after having it, we went back to prepare our bags for check-out...

after tat we went over to bejaraya times square to have a last walk-about before we board the bus at 6pm to return for singapore... well... as the other guys have spent almost all of their cash over the last two days, its mostly walk ard and maybe use up their remaining cash... as for mi... i've spent the least over the last two days as compared to the others... so i was looking to get something... as its a super big shopping mall... u can almost find retail shops possible... so adidas shop was my main target... well... in the end i managed to get a liverpool shirt after comparing the onli 2 available... too bad there wasn't more sizes available... anyway... as we continue to shop... we decided it is best and most efficent that we split up and shop for our last objectives...

after awhile... we still end up meeting each other at metrojaya... haha... hence halve of us each bought a East India Co. belt... haha...

as there are over 10 levels in this mall... so our legs got tired... and we decided to look for a resting place and also to have lunch... tat was after zh managed to get a blazer for himself to complete his BLACK killing spree... leong on the other end managed his GREEN spree... after a half-hearted search and consulting their wallets... lolz... we end up at the station kopitiam... all i can say is i highly dun recommend the place... its dirty to the max with little 'xiao qiang' crawling here and there... the food is still ok onli...

after tat we continue to do some last min shopping at the cold storage in the basement area... thereafter we head over to the grassland counter to wait for the bus...

soon after we are on our way back to singapore...

as the skies turns dark... the stars come out to play... i couldn't believe wat i saw either... it was so beautiful... well... i swear i have nvr seen so many stars in one night and this night i saw it all... hmmm... sad to say i didn't study about the stars... if not i can understand who are they and wat their mean and how many they are... moreover that night... we also saw a orange moon in the sky... it weird but nice to see as well... as we travel... we notice the display board at the side of the highway... shockingly... its 500+ KM to Singapore... this time round the driver is more on the safe side... driving at a steady spd... so we were wondering when are we going to reach hack home... also... there were fear that we will be crossing JB checkpoint instead of thru tuas as we were on the road... during our one and over stop over at the eating place... after i got my porridge, and after a few slips... the bus went calling for passenger to board bus... haiz... quickly took a few more bites and wait for the guys to do a last min grocery shopping...

by the time we reach back singapore it was nearly 12am... we alighted at the back of the Tang dynesty wall and bid goodbye to each other and head home respectively...

overall... i rate the trip still ok... still got improvements to make it a better trip...

currently right leg injured.... this its swollen... can't see the veins like my left leg...

after the match today was cancelled by the ref 1 hr before time... the guys which had already left home went to mac to eat breakfast...(max bought a happy meal for the toy..., which he forget to take and went back to buy again... lolz... devoted bf... hehe....) well.. the rain has lighten... so we decide to check out the condition of TG area to see whether its playable... somehow hq suggested to play at the courts barefooted... haha... that's where the fun begins... my team was like form team with pak, poh wai and max as keeper... max was outstanding as ever with his newly learnt slping buddha skill.. haha... pohwai was as energic as ever... pak, juz came back from injury, was also in form... we played and linked up pretty well... thus stringing a few games winning...

the wet weather together with the wet grd make it utterly fun to play in... as u can see body flying and falling every now and then... et was on a high scoring the most goals thru beautiful link-up plays... being bare-footed and wet grd.. our play was limited but un-predictable... goals were flying in everywhere unexpectedly... we played from a wet grd to dry... dry clothing to wet... slippery feet became painful legs.. in the spirit of the GSS... there was a buy one get one free offer going on... if u slip and fall on one side of ur buttock... u will get to slip again to fall on the other... FOR FREE...! haha... that sums up the 1st half of the day...

*TGU nvr plays a soccer field match tat has not been postponed before... so if u plan to play us... pray that it does not rain, if not... juz prepare to book the alternative time slot juz in case... haha...

KL Trip with the guys of 03s25 part 2

* juz to add that we were playing a game intro by yw while on the bus... its a modified version of heart attack... where the person who got all same 4 cards will reveal and proceed to do an action... the last person completing the same action will be backlisted and upped a level... everyone started from level zero, and different level ppl cannot talk/reply to another... doing so will land urself to the same level as the one tat u talked to... upon reaching level 5... u will be the BIG loser(that's leong btw tat day... haha)... doing some forfeit... sarbo-ing is legal and by all means... its a really high intensity game if u play with the right ppl... haha..

2nd day
woke at 8, but the others are still sleeping... was supposed to meet at 9 for the breakfast downstairs, as we squeezed 7 ppl into 3 rooms, the attached breakfast wasn't enough for all... so the ppl staying as 3 in a room have to fork out for the odd one's breakfast... btw, the breakfast is really not up to standard... limited varieties but the food still taste ok... after breakfast, the guys went back for more rest(sleep)... by noon we set off for more shopping... this time round by their LRT... its a really Loud train...

we 1st went to Lot 10, walked ard... shopped alot... i continued my search for liverpool merchandise only to be disappoint by the number of fake goods easily available... still i got myself a keychain... and tat's all i got for the 2nd day, while the others got their hands full... after walking for 2-3 hrs... we kind of got hungry... thus we went ard looking for lunch and then we settled for a 'tae pan yak ki' (forgive my spelling)... well... the food taste alrite... but being seated infront of the chef and seeing his cooking method... its kind of scary... the way he pour the cooking oil on the meat and vege... its like u are trying to deep fried the food... haha... a bit over... but for a few times he managed to splash the oil and some meat outside of the hot-metal cooking surface and landing it near those sitting directly infront... dangerously fun... dun u think? haha...

after that there's more shopping and walking... till we are tired yet again... rested at the dome cafe for a drink... continued walking and searching for that specific mall, but ended in the wrong place... still some of them managed to get stuffs they wanted even at the wrong destination... hahah... the sky starts to darken and soon we feel that we have got to settle for a place to have dinner and wat to do after it... after long discussions and walking aimlessly back and fro at the traffic light... we walked back to planet hollywood... only to see there's a station kopitiam on top of it... hence we went up and have a look...well... a look was enough to tell its a 'niao bu sheng dan' place...(place where no bird will lay egg, as the guys put it)... the sight of emptiness made us head back to planet hollywood and that was indeed a better choice...

headed to the basement of the restareunt... ordered food... wanted to order drink but the drink list wasn't infront of mi, hence i skipped it... it was quite another filling meal and can be seen from the pics below(all the pics at shown below if u still dunno)... volka lime chicken? if i remember i correct... taste great... after finishing our meal... we ordered another round of drinks but i was forgotten by the guys as they really skipped past mi when ordering... haiz... still i get the waiter to get mi one after they delivered theirs... at the same time, a duo came to stage to perform some songs requests... i have no idea how our request for 'better man' was taken... bt they sang it for us... there's a short clip of the vid below too... go view it... its was fun singing along, but at times we dun even know the songs they are singing... maybe becoz of our age... hehe...

after tat the live band came on, at ard 10.30pm... stayed ard for a few songs and we decided to move on, back to hotel... well.. that is before a debate between leong and us whether one of the vocals was a male or female... well... leong insist that its a HE, but most of us think its a SHE... for mi... from the looks of it, its a SHE... some may get the 1st impression that she looks like a HE, more so with her deep voice and facial looks... but her physical appearance shows that she has a female body... well... i think enough of the debate.... if not leong will come in and argue again... haha...

after tat we can decide wat to do again... so we walked all the way back to our hotel... its a long walk but good for digestions since we juz finish our meal... backed to our hotel... had a bit of fun and went to slp...

KL Trip with the guys of 03s25 part 1

the plan was initiated a few mths back, by who i can't remember... leong asked mi whether i could join for some oversea trip... yea... it started out to by thailand bangkok, but KL was also in consideration... after much tinkering and discussion(or verbal fights, lolz) we set our sights on KL... tat's not to forget that there were some pull outs and hop ins in the last min... and on the sunday, 1st july, we all gathered at boon lay market to start our trip...

1st day
on the roads... - we met up at boon lay... i was late... haha... but not to the extend of missing the bus... still met up the guys at the grassland office... write up on the malaysia white card and moved off to the bus... waited a while for all to board and its my way or the highway...



well the guys were pretty much excited by the trip.... thru out the journey there were lots of joking and laughing going... but there was also moments of silent as it was a long trip... 6 hours ride on the bus... that is freaking long journey... well... at least to mi as it was the furthest trip i ever went outside of malaysia(damn... still didn't managed to catch a flight on plane... haiz... next time ba...) as the seats were divided between 2 pairs and 3 singles, communication among everyone was not at its fullest... the 4 sitting back to back were having the most fun...



btw, here's some of the notes i written on the bus...



-i noticed that the bus driver has a habit of waving to other buses on the opposite road. is it pure courtesy? friendliness? or scaring that he may get himself into some trouble? hmmm... haha



- the bus driver is a speed demon... although i didn't see the actual speed its driving on... but i see the meter going past th 90km/h mark... well... the road spd limit was at 110km/h... so i guess he does no wrong abt it ba... still... there are abt 10 ppls' life at stake... and he's honking, cursing at other drivers slower than him...



upon arriving in KL... we are greeted by the thing we usually see in the morning of singapore... TRAFFIC JAMS... yea... there's no escape... its a sunday afternoon by the time we reach KL, but the traffic was still so packed... can't believe it... it took almost another half an hour for us to reach our hotel from the start of the jam...



after reaching our hotel, we were told that only one of the three rooms are available to be occupied at that time... so we went up and put our stuffs and moved off to KLCC to have our lunch... we started at 9am and the 6hrs of bus ride pushed our lunch to 3pm... hungry man is an angry man... and lets add in a 'anything' man to it... as we took cab from outside the hotel, its ancasa hotel KL btw, to KL convention centre...



- the taxi driver here usually park outside the hotel, trying to capitalize on tourists not knowing the market rates of cab ride there...



and we fell victim to it... upon getting in... we saw the cab fare metre to be at RM 33... crazy... but we managed to settle at RM 20 instead... but...! later on when we went back from KLCC to our hotel... the rates are greatly different...



and so we arrived at KLCC... 1st thing to do was to look at the shopping mall directory for food outlets... and we went to the top level and picked Madam Kwan... made our orders... food was prepared quite fast and we tucked it soon after... i sort of had a combo meal, same with leong, which consists of chicken drumstick, beef slices and prawns... taste great...

*juz received complaints from the guys that the pics were to explicit and its hurts their feelings... so its got to be taken down... so 3 cheers...!

back to KLCC... after lunch... there was lots of shopping and walking... the whole place was sooooo big... comparable to vivo city... but vivo city consists of only 4 levels... KLCC has more than 6 levels of shopping outlets waiting for us... pak got the 1st blood... then the others follow suit by getting their 1st kill... zh was busy looking for black clothes while i managed to get a black shirt where i soon found i was cheated by the cheaper price at the shop in IMM juz now... sian½... after a few hours of shopping frenzy... we decided to leave the place for other activities... soon we found ourselves in the Lift of the petronas tower... not up to the top of the tower, but down to the carparks... sian½ again... the place was closed as it was only opened till 9pm and we have to obtain tickets to enter the top...

but we still managed to have some fun at the fountain infront of the tower and ate some dunking donuts...

soon after... we were stuck with either going to ZOUK or back to hotel and have some other activities... well, being singaporean makes us clueless where zouk could be.... so we went back instead... then we found out that we got cheated by the taxi driver on our way to KLCC... coz my side tat took the cab only cost RM6, while the other guys found themselves paying RM 10.... after getting back to the hotel, picking up the other keys to the 2 rooms and unloading our goods... we head to chinatown for a walk and supper...

some random pics taken on my way back... was trying out the different modes of night scenery on my camera... the effects and quality disappoints... maybe due to the moving bus... low lighting also plays a part as dun dare to use flash as it may affect the driver...

away in KL for the next 3 days...

well.. i'll be away to KL for the next 3 days... a short break and holiday from the packed and tiring work lately... hopefully to get myself recharged...
